Guardrail end treatment featuring Sabretooth™ technology
The MAX-Tension™ TL-2 tangent guardrail terminal, features the next level in impact minimisation and improved safety with a new cutting tooth design. Sabretooth™ technology dramatically increases the energy absorbing capabilities of the end terminal.
Compliant to MASH Testing Level 2 its effective in both head on and side on collisions. During a side impact, tension cables help safely redirect the motorist away from the hazard. In a head-on, deceleration is controlled by friction developed in the tension cables and by cutting the downstream guardrail panels.
The MAX-Tension terminal uses standard guardrail components and shares many “smart parts” with other MAX-Tension Terminal designs.
Ideal for use on roadsides where a recommended clear zone and recoverable slope is attainable.
